A Thousand Paper Cranes was a tale that takes place in Hiroshima, Japan during WWII. The show follows a girl who becomes very sick. She believed in an old Japanese tale that if you fold a thousand paper cranes, you can make a wish that will be granted. When she started making the cranes, her plan was to wish for good health, but her sickness got worse, and she decided to wish for peace instead. Her wish changed the world forever, and she knew that she could change the present to help the future.
