The Show:
“Happiness Matters” was, in the words of Mr. Hodson a “TED talk on the football field” we explore different views and opinions on what happiness is, and how we can obtain it. We start with our first speaker Dr. Stephen Anderson who says “Through my studies I have found, it's not actually your reality that shapes you, but the lens at which you look that shapes your reality” suggesting that, if you can change the way in which you look at things, you can change your feeling on something. Later on in the show we are met with another character, Velesinique Delgado who tells the audience, “But the problem is, society all too often puts up a barricade between us, and the happiness that we all seek… We depend on the likes and comments of veritable strangers, our world has become a photoshopped Instagram dystopia.” “If we can figure out how to drop the false pretenses, stop living the lives of others, and simply live for ourselves, we may be able to find that happiness that exists inside us all.” we are then met with our final character of the show Dr. Mark Jones who shares his opinions on the matter “It's the deep and meaningful relationships in our lives that are the key to true happiness” in conclusion, we learn about different routes we can take to attempt to find happiness, and some struggles it might take to get there.
